the end....

The end to a really good summer class. It is finally over summer session 1. It went by so fast and I feel as yesterday I was just organizing my self to take 4 summer classes. Online classes really saved my life and put me back in order to graduate this year! If it wasn’t for these online classes and the ability to take 3 online classes and a lab at one time I would be graduating next year! Online classes are only for certain people. If you procrastinate and can’t get things on time then this isn’t for you! If you need a teacher to teach you more then you are reading and teaching your self then this isn’t for you. I love online classes and the aspect is that u follows a guideline but can do it when you want in that time frame. I never really thought I would blog but this has made me realize something’s about my major that I might think about doing. Blogging is very interesting and I loved reading everyone else’s. You can really learn a lot from a blog! Thanks for a great class everyone; enjoy the rest of your summer!

Tv broadcast....

The news of Whitey being capture spread all over the world in a matter of seconds. This was a big find for the Americas most wanted and one of the biggest tips to find him was from women not even from our country that was over here visiting. The news broadcasted earlier in the week for anyone with information about his girlfriend to come forward for over a 2 million reward for anyone who knew where Whitey was. These women saw this broadcast and remembered seeing her through her travels and called and gave them the tip. They found Whitey in Cali and he has been living in the same housing area for 15 years. It is crazy how they broadcast someone’s picture and the people can remember that they saw this person and the people who wanted are to be found. The media of TV is helping us so much. If we couldn’t broadcast a photo of the lady who is suppose to be Whiteys girlfriend then he would have never been found.

online life

In one of my other media classes we are on the topic of online gaming. This made me think about one of the true life episodes that I saw for when you are living two worlds and one is based online where you are more open with people and the other real life when you are shy. I don’t know about most people but from my recent studies I have found that people online are really more open to things because they are hiding behind a screen. This episode really was weird to me I don’t get why people need to hide behind a screen. There wasting there time they need to get out and explore I believe that we only really do live once and we need to live up to our life. They can hide behind the screen all they want but it might not benefit them in any other way. I am wondering everyone else’s thoughts on this double world life behind the computer screen?

media technology an addiction?

If you sit in a mall or on a train basically anywhere public what are most people doing? Playing on there smartphones or on there ipads. This is seriously an addiction in our generation I bet people don’t go a day without going online or using there phone. I have taken a big notice in this lately working at a food restaurant and all the people playing on there phones and computers while eating. Cant they just enjoy there meal instead of playing on there phones. People get everything sent to there phone from emails, to facebook notifications, and even to conferences. Our generation hasn’t taken a break from technology and we keep furthering it. I mean I guess it isn’t a bad thing but people need to enjoy life and take time away from this technology and have fun in the world with out it. Studying in Australia I thought having no phone I was going to be lost forever and couldn’t stay in touch with my friends and family at home beside email and skype. Honestly it was the best thing ever to take a break from being attached to my phone for five months! It didn’t even bother me I definitely forgot about it when I got home and when I was in Australia I was just having too much fun to even care about a cell phone. I know it’s easy to keep in touch with things your doing but honestly we need a break from it and ENJOY LIFE!

anyone can make a mistake in press....

I was talking to my dad before going to work and he brought up this really funny glitch in the newspaper that has happened this past week. We all know the MAVS won the NBA title but not so much for some town in Florida. The paper made a mistake and said congratulations Miami? Really this is a pretty bad mistake for a paper to make. Do you know how many people read newspapers and how you could make such a wrong doing? I thought when papers were printed they proof read things. I guess not because this paper show a Florida town clearly made a big mistake. I just find it rather funny how a paper could make such a big mistake.

is media affecting the youth?

Take a second and look at this world right now, is it the same it use to be before? In my eyes I feel as you are hearing way more on news about bullying and young kids doing things they should never be doing! The recently bullying cases have blown up and have made a lot of the rules in some schools because the act of bullying from cyber to in school is horrendous. One teen in South Hadley committed suicide due to this. Media from everyone is not blocked from anyone. The media shapes their minds and gives them ideas that what is out there in the real world. The media technology is so far developed that kids can learn anything from anything they do. Its spread so easily that each kid spreads it on then every teen knowing. Kids are causing way more problems then they are use to the video games are so far developed showing these kids things that should be happening.

Teaching online

Online classes have become pretty big lately. When I first entered college four years ago I learned that you could take classes online and that it was easier because who likes waking up for class anyways? The first college I went to didn’t really have many online classes to choose from beside only a couple. I transferred after my freshman year to Bridgewater and there were ten times more online classes to choose from. I decided to take my first online class. I LOVED IT! Online learning was the learning I needed. I could take test without anyone pressuring me just by a certain time, my papers were due on certain dates and I could do my homework when I wanted just by certain dates. I didn’t need to wake up early to go to class. I could do it when I wanted. I am in my fourth year of college and I have taken over 6 online classes including three this summer. Three summer classes online may seem like a lot but it’s really juts time consuming and figuring out when everything is due. Online learning is like no other I like it so much better than regular class. I have a weird way of learning and this way I can teach the information to myself the way I like to. I have noticed in my degree audit that most of my online classes have better grades then my regular classes do. With that being said online class is just a great way of learning and more college should have them.
