Twitter isn’t just being used for what it came out to do. Twitter was made for people to update from other people around the world and see what’s happening. It is past that point now people are using it for publicity, grow there business, and etc. “Cindy King, an international sales specialist, saw a huge boost in business inquires by implementing a strategic Twitter plan.” Twitter has grown and it’s just like face book with all the advertising that is being put into it. Tanning salons tweet if you come in the day you will get a discount. The little things are helping business grow to be so much more and advertise and sell there business. The world of technology is developing so much of how they are publicizing there business. I mean this isn’t bad right? No I don’t think it is. Its actually more useful. Once a new way is out people get addicted always checking and looking for specials. We all love specials don’t we. Even by a twitter saying “come in free drink at 2” there would genuinely be a lot of people there. In that note I want to leave with Twitter is being used for more then what it is made for and that’s not a bad decision at all.

Its interesting that you say this. I am a daily facebook user but I must say I have yet to get into it. When I first hears about twitter I was told it was used to update people on where you were and what you were doing. People could then choose to "follow" you and always know where you were and what you were doing. I never got into that part of it. I personally didnt really want people knowing what I did and where I was. Those are also things I chose not to put on facebook. I know there are many into twitter and that it is probably a decent tool. I choose not to use it but have no issues with those that do.
ReplyDeleteI use twitter often, I prefer it to Facebook because I don't have a lot of followers so I can passive aggressively bitch in public, but still be somewhat anonymous. (How terrible). Last semester, I followed a BSU twitter and whenever free food was mentioned in an event, I was there. It's really a useful business manipulation tool.
