Teaching online

Online classes have become pretty big lately. When I first entered college four years ago I learned that you could take classes online and that it was easier because who likes waking up for class anyways? The first college I went to didn’t really have many online classes to choose from beside only a couple. I transferred after my freshman year to Bridgewater and there were ten times more online classes to choose from. I decided to take my first online class. I LOVED IT! Online learning was the learning I needed. I could take test without anyone pressuring me just by a certain time, my papers were due on certain dates and I could do my homework when I wanted just by certain dates. I didn’t need to wake up early to go to class. I could do it when I wanted. I am in my fourth year of college and I have taken over 6 online classes including three this summer. Three summer classes online may seem like a lot but it’s really juts time consuming and figuring out when everything is due. Online learning is like no other I like it so much better than regular class. I have a weird way of learning and this way I can teach the information to myself the way I like to. I have noticed in my degree audit that most of my online classes have better grades then my regular classes do. With that being said online class is just a great way of learning and more college should have them.

  1. This is the first online class that I have taken. But I can say that I am enjoying the flexibility and freedom that comes with it. I love being able to sit in coffee shops and just relax, get work done at my leisure. I will admit that I was a little worried and confused at the beginning though.

  2. I have always had mixed feelings about online classes. When i was a freshman, i thought that taking as many online classes as possible would be awesome because that would free up my days to go out and do other stuff. Well needless to say, i definitely not responsible and mature enough to do that and i learned the hard way. I quickly began falling behind in all my classes because i rarely went on to check the course load. About half way through the semester we got freshman year progress reports and i realized i was failing 3 classes. I had to work my ass off for the rest of the semester just to make sure i passed those classes. Since then though, i have taken a few more and understood that procrastonating isn't the way to go, and the sooner the work gets done the less it gets piled on in the end! I would reccomend them to anyone who thinks they can handle it but be ware not to fall behind!!
